In a world that's diversifying rapidly, the significance of inclusive education cannot be overstated. Yet, there exists a profound gap. At Axis, we're here to bridge it.
tHE CHALLENGE
In the heart of California, where 45% of residents are Latino/Hispanic or Black, only a mere 10% of these communities find representation within independent schools (California Association of Independent Schools). Moreover, the educator workforce is not much different, with only 5-10% being educators of color (Education Week). The discrepancies are glaring.
the IMPLICATION
Without adequate representation, students of color often find it hard to see themselves in their academic communities. Diverse classrooms don't just amplify academic outcomes, they mold students into globally-minded individuals ready to thrive in a majority-minority future.
It's not just about equitable access - it's about building a community where everyone sees their color, culture, and experiences reflected. This is especially crucial in independent schools, bastions of education and leaders of social change.

GUIDANCE
We assist students and families of color throughout their independent school journeys, from admission to graduation.
REPRESENTATION
We place qualified educators of color in independent schools, enhancing academic outcomes across all demographics.
ACCREDITATION
We provide first-of-its-kind Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accountability (DEIA) Accreditation to help our Partner Schools develop more equitable and inclusive practices.
Through our proactive approach, we're nurturing a supportive community among families, Partner Schools, and advocates. Our programs don't just guide families; they assist our Partner Schools in creating an environment where every student of color can truly flourish.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Our roots are widespread and deep. We partner with 35 independent schools and several nonprofits across Los Angeles, ensuring seamless cooperation. Our donor circle made up of diverse high-net-worth individuals, actively engages with and supports our mission. Along with our growing volunteer base, the Axis family we serve is steadfast and engaged, contributing significantly to the cause.
