Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accountability (DEIA) Programs for Private Schools

SUPPORTING SCHOOLS IN fostering INCLUSIVE LEARNING ENVIRONMENTS

Axis is dedicated to supporting independent schools in strengthening systemwide diversity, equity, and inclusion practices through comprehensive accountability. We not only provide tailored diversity, equity, inclusion, and accountability professional development programs, we also offer a first-of-its-kind Social Responsibility Certification exclusive to our Partner Schools across Los Angeles.

AXIS SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY CERTIFICATion

Our first-of-its-kind Social Responsibility Certification empowers our Partner Schools to develop and define clear goals rooted in best practices, fostering cultural competence and global citizenship. This peer-reviewed, collaborative process consists of three steps, ultimately leading to a valuable accreditation that cannot be accessed elsewhere.

INSTITUTIONAL SELF-EVALUATION

The certification process begins with a written self-evaluation that helps schools assess their past, current, and future DEIA efforts. This first step provides ample opportunity for self-reflection and a thorough understanding of a school’s current DEIA policies and practices.

SITE VISIT

Next, a team of educators, administrators, and practitioners conducts an on-site visit to provide a 360-degree assessment of the self-evaluation findings. Axis provides a comprehensive abstract summarizing the team’s findings and offers recommendations.

FUTURE PLANNING COLLABORATIVE

The accreditation process culminates with the establishment of a Future Planning Collaborative. Together, the Axis team and school accreditation committee develop a strategic plan with defined DEIA goals, charting a transformative course forward.
