John is a Vice President and Banker in the Los Angeles office of
J.P. Morgan Private Bank. John delivers experienced advisory guidance to affluent families, private business owners, entrepreneurs and successful professionals within the sports, entertainment and technology communities. He serves as a conduit to the resources of J.P. Morgan—the extensive research, investment platforms and intellectual capital available via the global financial reach of the firm.
John takes a holistic approach to wealth management, addressing each individual’s unique set of circumstances and needs. He works in partnership to help pursue goals and presents customized recommendations for investment strategies, trust & estate planning, lending, banking and more. John is highly collaborative and strives to be the first call for all financial decisions.
He simplifies complex concepts and turns them into actionable ideas.
A published author, John focuses on financial literacy for the next generation. His book is entitled The Oop, which uses basketball to explain ten of the most important concepts in finance and economics.
Before rejoining J.P Morgan, John worked at Goldman Sachs as a Private Wealth Advisor and at Loop Capital Markets, where he was a Corporate Bond Trader. He started his career a decade ago as an Analyst with J.P Morgan’s Corporate and Investment Bank. He is proud to work for a firm that is focused on economically empowering traditionally underserved communities of color.
John is an alumnus of the Posse Foundation, a program rooted in the belief that a diverse group of talented students can catalyze individual and community development. He graduated from Vanderbilt University with a B.A in Corporate Finance & Management.
Originally from Brooklyn, New York, John lives in Los Angeles with his wife and young son. He is a self-described “basketball junkie” who enjoys sports, reading, traveling and spending time with family and friends. John is a key contributor to Black Brilliance 360 and a mentor with E.D.G.E.
